- Edgar Haffner
Edgar Simon Haffner, brother of Milton of New Hamburg, died last Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 53.
A former resident of 230 Lincoln Road, Waterloo, Mr. Haffner had lived at Lake Rosiland, Hanover for the past eight months.
Born Aug. 3, 1915, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs William Haffner. He was an automotive parts salesman with Kitchener United Auto Parts Ltd.
The deceased was married to Olive Dietrich May 24, 1939, in Waterloo. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Waterloo.
Surviving besides his wife and brother are two sons, Neil and Russell, both of Waterloo; another brother, Clarence of Waterloo; one sister, Mrs. Irene Gies of Waterloo and three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one brother, George, in 1967.
Parish rosary was recited at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home on Friday with prayers recited Saturday morning.
Requiem mass was held at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church. Burial took place in Parkview cemetery. Waterloo.
