    • Jacob Wintermeyer

      Jacob Wintermeyer, 80, of 80 Weber St. West, died Tuesday at his home after a lengthy illness.

      Born April 27, 1874, in Kitchener, he was a son of the late John Wintermeyer and the former Theresa Kaiser.

      Retired for the past 25 years, he worked for the Kaufman Lumber Mills.

      A member of St. Mary's RC Church, he also belonged to the St. Boniface Society and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

      Surviving are four sons, Adolf of Washington, D.C., Leo of RR 2, Waterloo, Carl of St. Agatha and Herbert of RR 3, Kitchener; two daughters, Miss Gertrude Wintermeyer and Mrs. William (Colette) Keener both of Kitchener and a sister, Mrs. Mary Weber of Waterloo.

      Nineteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

      The body is at the Gruhn Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited Thursday at 8 pm. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Friday at 8: 30 am. Removal will be made to St. Mary's RC Church for requiem high mass at 9 am. Burial will be in Mount Hope RC Cemetery.
