  Christian Roi Mr. Christian Roi, a well-known and highly esteemed resident of the Cassel district died last Saturday night, March 5th, at the age of 72 years. He had been ill for some time and sent through a critical operation on the stomach on Saturday forenoon, but owing to his advanced age failed to rally and passed away in the evening.' The deceased was born in East Zorra and spent his whole life there farming successfully for many years. He retired from active labor a few years ago. He was married to Lydia Brenneman, who predeceased him three years ago. Three sons and one daughter are left to mourn his demise. They are Emerson of Woodstock, Simon near Hickson, Norman on the homestead near Cassel. He also leaves three brothers and one sister, Lois, Joseph and Mrs. Sol. Brenneman, of Tavistock, and Joel Roi, east of New Hamburg. The funeral was held on Tuesday from his late home on the 14th line of East Zorra to the 16th line A.M. church and cemetery.
