  BAECHLER, Christian S. -- At St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on February 23, 1978, Christian S. Baechler of Route 1, Tavistock, age 84 years. Beloved husband of Annie Bender; dear father of Wilmer and Floyd; both of Route 1, Shakespeare, Mrs. Wilfred (Elda) Roth of Route 1 Tavistock, and Mrs. Earl (Merva) Zehr of Route 1, Bright; dear brother of Mrs. Peter (Susanna) Roth of New Hamburg, and Mrs. William (Mabel) Bender of Route 1, New Hamburg; also survived by 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by four brothers and five sisters. Friends may call at the Robert Krug Funeral Home, Tavistock, after 7 p.m. Friday evening and until noon on Sunday, when transfer will be made to east Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th line. for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in the 19th Line cemetery.
