- BALHEIM, Julius -- Of 260 Herbert St., Waterloo, at the K-W Hospital, on Sunday, March 23, 1980, after a brief illness, 78 years of age. A member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. He was born in Germany and came to Canada in 1924 and farmed in the Neustadt Area, until moving to Waterloo in 1952, where he was employed at Merchants Rubber until his retirement. Husband of the former Arlene Harbach; father of Carol (Mrs. Berkley Litt), John J., both of Kitchener, Dianne (Mrs. Joseph Sarkadi) of Guelph, Stuart J., of Brampton. Also surviving are five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Predeceased by his parents, Christian and Jacob Balheim, two brothers William and Frederick, also two sisters, Freda and Marie. Visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, Benton and Church Streets, after 7 p.m. this evening, where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 2 p.m. Rev. Vernon Cronmiller and Rev. Delton Glebe will officiate. Interment Mount Hope cemetery, Kitchener.
