    • PUT MUZZLE IN HIS MOUTH

      WOODSTOCK, July 29.-Charles Schneuker, aged 34, an employe of the C.N.R. and a returned soldier. took his life in his boarding house some time during last night. A shotgun was used. Schneuker placed the muzzle in his mouth and attached a string to the trigger to aid him in discharging the weapon.

      Schneuker returned to his boarding house about 7 o'clock Wednesday evening, and immediately went to his room. Nothing more was seen or heard of him, until the following morning about 11 o'clock, when on complaint of a woman next door that she had heard a loud report in her neighbor's house. Investigation was made. The lifeless body of Schneuker was then discovered in his room. He had placed all his papers on a table with instructions as to their disposal, and then taking a position on the bed, placed the muzzle of the gun in his mouth and fired the shot. The dead man was born in the neighborhood of Kitchener and his mother and his two sisters live in Toronto. Coroner Dr. McKay has ordered an inquest the preliminary hearing taking place this evening.

      Returns Verdict

      WOODSTOCK-At a late hour, the jury impanneled by Coroner Dr. Andrew McKay to inquire into the cause of the death of Charles Schneuker, found dead in his boarding house with a gunshot wound in the head, brought a verdict to the effect that death had been caused by a gunshot wound self-inflicted. Schneuker was found with the butt end of a shotgun between his legs and the end of the barrel near his mouth. A piece of string had been attached to the trigger to aid in discharging the weapon.
