      On Thursday, Aug. 19, 1982, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jonas Schmidt of Newton, Mrs. Catherine Kuepfer (Schwartz), aged 80 years.
      She was a member of the Amish Mennonite Church.
      Wife of the late Gideon Kuepfer. She is lovingly remembered by one son, Ken of RR 1, Newton; two daughters, Clara (Mrs. William Carter) of RR 1, Newton and Verna (Mrs. Jonas Schmidt) of Newton.
      Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Simon of Milverton and David of Wellesley; three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Kuepfer of Millbank, Mrs. Mary Kuepfer of Newton and Christina (Mrs. Sam Jantzi) of RR 1, Millbank.
      She was predeceased by her parents, the late David Schwartz and the former Catherine Jantzi; one daughter, Catherine in infancy; two grandchildren and two brothers.
      Resting at the home of William Carter, RR 1, Newton, after 7 p.m. this evening until Saturday, where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., with Aaron J. Kuepfer officiating. Burial will be in the 7th Line, Mornington township, Amish Mennonite cemetery.
      Funeral arrangements were assisted by Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, Milverton.
