Mrs. Robert C. Walker
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Robert C. Walker of London, were held in Wesley United church on Monday afternoon. The death of Mrs. Walker occurred on Jan. 25th at the home of her son, Mortimer in London, where she had resided for some years. She was aged 81 years and ten months and had been ill since December of 1935, when she had pneumonia. Before her marriage she was Anna Musselman. She was born in Woolwich township where she resided in her younger days. She later moved to Winnipeg and other places and in 1915 returned to Elmira for a short time after which she went to live with her son. Her husband's father, the late Robert Walker, gave the land where the United church now stands. Surviving are one son, Mortimer, of London and one daughter, Edith, of Rochester, N.Y., and three grandchildren. Five brothers, Dilman of Bilby, Alta., Levi of Toronto, Noah of Rochester, Frank and Cleason of Kitchener and two sisters, Mrs. S. Hembling of San Francisco and Miss Melissa Musselman of Elmira, also survive. Following service here, at which Rev. Dr. C. McGregor of St. Andrew's United church of London and Rev. J. U. Stewart of Elmira, officiated, burial was made in the Elmira cemetery.
