Emanuel Musselman
The funeral service of Mr. Emanuel Musselman, who passed away on Saturday after a brief illness, was held on Tuesday afternoon from his late residence, 31 Arthur street north, to the Evangelical church. The officiating clergymen were: Rev. F. Jolley, Pentecostal church, Kitchener, Rev. C. H. Cornwell, Zion Evangelical church, Elmira, and Rev. J. Ure Stewart, Wesley United church, Elmira. Interment was made in the Elmira Cemetery. The pall-bearers were: Peter Stumpf, Wm. Knipfel, Bert Howlett, Philip Beisel, George Lichty and Elijah Strome.
Mr. Musselman was aged 60 years, five months and 19 days. Born in North Woolwich, June 6th, 1873, a son of Moses Musselman and Catharine Martin. Mr.Musselman came to Elmira 41 years ago and had resided her ever since. On February 10, 1897, he was married to Caroline Weber, who then resided near St. Jacobs.
A woodworker by trade, Mr. Musselman followed this occupation for many years. In religions he was a staunch member of the Pentecostal Church here.
Taken ill, Mr. Musselman was taken to the K-W Hospital one week previous to his death and operated on for appendicitis. After only ten days' illness death occurred at 1.45 p.m. Saturday.
Besides his widow, the late Mr. Musselman is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Menno S. Stickle and Mrs. Peter Gingrich of the Zurich vicinity, one son, Hilbert E., of Elmira; three sisters, Mrs. M. D. Hembling, San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Anna Walker, London, Ont., and Melissa, Elmira. Five brothers, Dilman, Bilby, Alberta, Levi of Elmira, Frank of Kitchener, Noah, of Rochester, N.Y., and Cleason of Kitchener together with four grandchildren also survive.
