- Died, In Galt, this (Monday) morning, at half past four o'clock, Andrew Landreth, In his 71st Year. Funeral, On Wednesday afternoon, 11th inst., at 2 o'clock, from his late residence, Wentworth Avenue, to Mount View Cemetery. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend. Galt, Jan. 9th, 1893.

Mr. Andrew Landreth
So favorably known in and around Galt and who has been sick for a long time, passed away on Monday morning, at half-past four. He was born in Roxboroughshire, Scotland in 1822 and consequently was in his 71st year. He came to Canada in 1831, after having lived two years near Savannah, in the State of New York. In 1850 he was married to Helen Wallace a native of Ayrshire, Scotland. The family settled near Galt on the farm now occupied by Mr. Moscrip, afterwards removing to a farm near Paris; then to the old homestead in North Dumfries, which he occupied until 1887, when he moved to Galt The deceased leaves a wife and four children, Jean and Maggie at home, George on the homestead and John, in Beverely. The funeral took place on Wednesday, to Mount View Cemetery and was attended by a large number of friends and relatives. A large number being from the neighborhood, of his old home in North Dumfries.
