  ORTON, Margaret Joan - Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2008 at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario in her 76th year. Much loved mother of Jane Moulder (David), Mark Williamson (Esther) and David Williamson (Robyn). Sister of Carole Rivers-Tate (Dean) and also Fred Orton (Audrey) and Thomas Orton (Christiane), both predeceased. Her grandchildren, Luke, Emily, Alana, Alex, Liam and Abby will miss Granny very much. She was born June 16, 1932 in her beloved Galt, Ontario, the daughter of Catherine Levene Fougère and Sylvester Orton. A lover of the arts throughout her entire life, she worked for newspapers, magazines, radio and theatre and leaves us all a legacy of her poetry, drawing, crafts and a lifetime of learning, wisdom and courage. Her personal philosophy for life's hardships was always to "tie a knot and go on", and this we will all have to do without her. "I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading. How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book!" - Jane Austen Friends are invited to gather at the Mountview Cemetery chapel, 80 Blenheim Road, Cambridge, Friday, June 6, 2008 at 12: 30 p.m. for memories and 1 p.m. for a memorial service.
