    • POLL Edith Jane (Brown)August 26, 1914 - June 23, 2008. Peacefully, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Home, in Cambridge, on Monday, June 23, 2008, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Poll (1997), Loving mother of Margaret Brethet and her husband Ross and Earl Poll and his wife Sandra. Cherished grandma of Valerie McPherson (Danny), Wendy Wilton, Laura Scanling (Paul) and Jim Brethet. Great-grandma of Connor Wilton, Olivia McPherson, Tracey and Blair Scanling. Survived by her sister-in-law, Leone Brown of Paris and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister, Annie Marshall (Roy) and her brothers, James Brown (Helen), George Brown (Marion) and Walter Brown and sister-in-law, Gladys Liphard. A descendent of the Dryden family, Edith, was a lifelong resident of North Dumphries Township. She was a member of the North Dumphries Seniors Club and wasan avid gardener. Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from the Coutts Chapel, on Thursday, June26, 2008, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Hillary Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
