  DONALD WILLIAM SHANTZ 1938 - 2005 Passed away, after a brief illness, at McGill University Health Centre, Royal Victoria Hospital, in Montreal, on Friday, April 29, 2005, in his 67th year. Survived by his sisters Ruth Shantz of New Hamburg, Marguerite Toman and her husband Cameron of Waterloo, and his brother John Shantz and his wife Janine of Toronto. Remembered by his nieces Donna Zarnke of Georgetown, Carol Vanwick of Waterloo and nephews Bruce Toman and Keith Toman, both of Waterloo. Predeceased by his parents, Claude and Laura Shantz and his sister Betty Shantz. Donald was a meteorologist and worked in Montreal for the majority of his career. Cremation will take place. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
