Mattie Bechtel
One of Kitchener's well known residents passed away today in the person Mattie Bechtel, aged 76 years, who died at the home of her niece, Mrs. Louis Dahmer, Wilhelm street. Deceased had been ill for three weeks with a severe attack of pneumonia. Miss Bechtel was born in St. Agatha, but has lived in this city for a large number of years, making her home for the past five years with her nephew, Mr. J. H. Doerr. One sister, Mrs. Hannah Kuntse Toronto and one brother Henry Bechtel Winnipeg, survive, besides a number nephews and nieces. They are Ralph Doerr, manager of the C. H. Doerr Co., Mrs, A. Bott, Ellen street west, Mrs. Louis Dahmer, Wilhelm street, Elmer Doerr, Louisa street, J. H. Doerr and Mrs. Louis Bowman of Conestogo.
The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon with private services at the mouse at two o'clock, and from thence the East End Menonite Church and cemetery for services and interment.
