- HERBER, Norman O. -- Suddenly at K-W Hospital, on Wednesday, April 12, 1989, age 85 years, of 302 Erb St. W., Waterloo. Mr. Herber had been retired from Sunarhauserman Ltd. after 12 years of service as a stationary engineer. Member of First Baptist Church, Waterloo and served with Christian Service Brigade and First Baptist Church Bus Ministry. Dear father to Marlene Knipfer of New Holland, Pa. and Jeannette (Mrs. Hubert Kuehl) of Waterloo, beloved grandfather of eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Grete (nee Hagemann); parents, Jacob and Katherine Herber; a brother, Lloyd; a sister, Verda Baranski and one great-granddaughter. Mr. Herber's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, this evening (Thursday) from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral and committal service in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. Daniel Edmunson Officiating. Interment Memory Gardens, Breslau.
