      27 Sep 1880 Johannes Winter died in Woolwich at the great old age of 86 years, 11 months and 21days. He died from his lungs being filled with blood,caused by a cut he gave himself in the throat in a fit of depression, on Sept. 25th. He was born in Gräfenau, Hesse-Darmstadt.
