Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ______________________ MRS. SAMUEL U. BEAN Following a lengthy illness, Mrs. Samuel U. Bean died Saturday at her late residence, 16 Pequegnat Ave., Kitchener, at the age of 74. Formerly Mary Ann Filsinger, she was born July 31, 1870, at Elmira, to the Late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Filsinger. On Dec. 8, 1891, she was married at Mildmay to Mr. Bean, who survives her. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Church, the Ladies' Aid Society and the Women's Missionary Society of the Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband are two sons, Gordon A. Bean of Toronto and Clarence O. Bean of Kitchener; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Lorena) Forler of Preston; Mrs. Sarah Lullaby of Brantford; Mrs. Roy (Betty) Garwood of Stratford. Also surviving are one brother, Jacob Filsinger of Buffalo, _N.Y., three sisters, Mrs. John Hessenauer of Kitchener; Mrs. Jacob Wieck and Mrs. George Fink of Chesley; six grand-children and one great grandchild. The funeral service was held Tuesday at her late residence at two o'-clock. Public service followed at Zion Evangelical Church at 2: 30 p.m. Rev. E. E. Hallman, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial was made at Wood-land Cemetery.
