Andrew Weiler, 88, of RR 1, Ariss, died at his home Wednesday, October 22, after a short illness.
A native of Maryhill, he had farmed in this district all his life.
Surviving are his wife, the former Catherine Rumig, whom he married in 1905, three sons, Leo and Jerome at home, Simon of Kitchener, four daughters, Miss Henriette, Mrs. Frank (Alberta) Groetz, Mrs. Charles (Rita) Stoesser, all of Waterloo, and Mrs. Howard (Patricia) Conrad of Kitchener.
Also surviving are 11 grand-children, one brother, Stephen of Detroit, and three sisters. Mrs. Regina Magnus of Ariss, Mrs. Victoria Fagel of Guelph and Mrs. Magdalena Elchert of Kitchener.
The body rested at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor. The rosary was recited Friday at 8 p.m. and prayers were said at 9:15 a.m. Saturday before removal to St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, Mary-hill, for requiem mass at 10 a.m. Rev Jerome Fisher officiated. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
