Notes - KURT, Gerald - It is with great sadness that we share the news of Gerry's passing. Gerry was injured in an ATV accident that occurred just off Highway 651 near Missanabie on the 21st of September 2007. He was taken to Lady Dunn Hospital in Wawa by ambulance. Gerry died later that evening in the hospital as a result of his injuries, at the age of 59. Gerry is predeceased by his loving wife, Janet Kurt (nee Moore, 2000). He is also predeceased by his mom, Antonia Kurt (nee Balzer, 1986) and dad, Arthur Kurt (2001). Predeceased by his brother, Donald Kurt. Gerry is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Mary Hoerle, and Marie Brick; his brother, Doug Kurt and wife Carol; his youngest sister, Donna Nigosian and husband Leo and his sister-in-law, Rose. A memorial service will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467, on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 7, Breslau. Family and friends are invited back to the funeral home following the interment for refreshments and a chance to share fond memories of Gerry. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the London Health Sciences Foundation to be used for the multi-organ transplant program (cards available at the funeral home).
