Bridge Street, Waterloo Log House - from "The Kitchener-Waterloo Record Feb 1970
In the Waterloo Historical Society Vol. 94-2006 is "Helga's Story: One Family's Journey to Waterloo Township" by Helga Hartman. She wrote about the log house her family lived in near the SE corner of Lexington Rd and Bridge Street. I say "near" because the road covers that lot now. There isn't a picture of the log house, but Helga drew the layout and described it at length. She said it belonged to Annie Reichert; built in 1848 by Charles Schultz, a tailor on Lot 5, on part of GCT Lot 61. |
