• Notes

  Conrad Lotz was my great great grandfather. He was age 21 when he got married in 1859. He and Elizabeth Schmidt had ten children. His son Henry Lotz (wife Barbara Hoffman) had a daughter Adeline Lotz (husband William Miller). Their son Harold Miller was my father. Conrad Lotz was killed by a train March 26, 1885. I have a newspaper entry that says, "Conrad Lotz a farmer, aged 40, was killed here by the cars last night. Before leaving the vilage he remarked that he was going to Stratford to pay his newspaper subscription, and was killed in the attempt.." It appears that the newspaper had his age wrong.
