Passed away peacefully at home, on Friday September 7th, 2012, age 90. Beloved husband of Doris (nee Wolfenberg) for 64 years. Father of Carol Moogk-Soulis, her husband Ric Soulis and Mary Anne Whittington, her husband Rod. Grandfather of Neal Moogk-Soulis, Graham (Michelle Benes) Moogk-Soulis, Bethanie (Jason) Rausch, Laurelee (Erin) Farmer, Katelin (Trevor) Pfaff and Chad Whittington (fiancée Ashley). Great Grandfather to Lucan Farmer, Amelia Pfaff and Locklyn Pfaff. Brother of Somie (late Jerry) Kopperson. Predeceased by parents Charles and Martha (nee Welz) Moogk, brothers Frederick, Frank, Robert and sister Josephine. Edwin was a long time member of Historic St Paul's Lutheran Church and later Redeemer Lutheran Church. Edwin was a World War II Veteran, serving from July 1940 - October 1945 with the Royal Canadian Regiment and the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals attached to the 14th Calgary Tank Regiment. Edwin worked for the Mutual Life Insurance Company from 1950-1988 as a business machine technician. Visitation will be held on Monday September 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St South, Waterloo. The funeral service will then be held on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012, 11am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 78 John Street West, Waterloo. Burial to follow at Mt Hope Cemetery.
