  DICKIE, WILLIAM A. Former Resident of Puslinch passes at age of 84 years. Word has been received of the death in Prince Albert, SK, of a native of this district, on March 10, 1923 [1933]. He was a pioneer of the Carrot River district in SK. The eldest son of the late John Dickie and Elizabeth Adams, he was born here 84 years ago. In May 1877, he married Elizabeth Henderson Archibald, daughter of the late John Archibald of Lucknow and lived on the old Dickie homestead in Puslinch until 1911, when he sold the farm and went with his family to Melfort, SK. He farmed until 1914, when he retired. His wife predeceased him in 1923. He was a Presbyterian, then became a United Church elder. Survived by Mrs. Fred Evans of Beatty, SK; Mrs. George Evans of Davis, SK ; Mrs. C. Martin White of LA; Dr. J. G. Dickie of Harlington, Texas; J. R. Dickie of Melfort, SK; Mrs. R. D. Gibson of Melfort and Bessie of Guelph. Interment was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Melfort.
