    • WILLIAM HENRY SCHNEIDER

      The death of William Henry Schneider occurred Tuesday morning at the K-W Hospital after a short illness.

      Mr Schneider suffered a stroke December 24 and was then taken to the hospital.

      Mr. Schneider purchased a coal business from E. Knoblauch about 36 years ago in Elmira and operated until his recent illness.

      Born September 18, 1868 in Waterloo, Mr. Schneider was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry William Schneider. He married the former Edith Miller 33 years ago in Elmira and has been a resident of the town ever since.

      Mr. Schneider was an active member of St, James' Lutheran Church and served on the church board for a number of years.

      Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Audrey) Shirk of Elmira, and one sister, Mrs. Jacob Hoffer of Floradale.

      Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:30 p.m. from St. James Lutheran Church. Burial will be made in St. James' Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. L. H. Kalbfleisch will officiate.

      The body will be at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor until Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. when removal will be made to the church. Friends are requested to pay their respects prior to the service at 2:30 p.m.
