  • Notes 
    • The residents of Elmira were shocked last Tuesday by the news that Mrs. Henry Winger, aged and respected resident had suddenly died of heart disease. Although suffering from ill health during several years the deceased was able to be about the house and to visit her neighbors last week. On Tuesday she was preparing the noon meal while her husband was engaged in the furnace room. After being thus engaged for some time Mr. Winger noticed that it was unusually quiet in the kitchen. He mounted the steps and was dumb founded to see his wife seated on the wood box, her spirit departed.

      The funeral will take place next Friday afternoon.
