  In 1886, Nanton married his first wife, Georgina Hope Hespeler, daughter of The Hon. William Hespeler. She died the following year giving birth to their daughter, Mary Georgina, who went on to marry Douglas Lorn Cameron, son of Sir Douglas Cameron, 8th Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba. Wikipedia _______________________ A SAD DEATH Rather more than a year ago the REPORTER had the pleasure of chronicling the marriage at Trinity Church, in this town, of Mr. A. M. Nanton, a leading citizen of Winnipeg, to Miss Hespeler, daughter of William Hespeler, Esq., of the same city, and niece of Mrs. Adam Warnock, of Galt. To-day it falls to our lot to record the sad news of the death of Mrs. Nanton, which took place at her residence in Winnipeg on Monday last.
