  Not unexpected came the news on Monday morning that Henry Stumpf had passed away during the night for he had been for some days in a very low condition. Deceased was born in 1850 in Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany. In 1858 he came to this neighborhood with his mother and brothers, his father having come over the year before. The mother and children then went to live for about a year at Omaha, Nebraska, where the mother and the youngest son, Peter, died of typhoid fever.
