  His weary hours and days of pain; His Troubled nights are past; And in our aching hearts we know; He has found sweet peace at last. George will be sadly missed by his wife Hazel of 50 years and his two children, Stephen (Brianne) and Elaine Shayler. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Jessica (Brian), Jenni, Tylor, Trevor, and great grandson, Eli William. Remembered by Olivia, Hope, Braedon, and Sadie. George passed away surrounded by his family at Lisaard House at the age of 69. Our appreciation and gratitude to all medical staff at both our local hospitals. George wanted to say a special thank you to all nurses. ("They can never pay you enough money for what you do.") As a retired Police Officer and a regional employee George made many many friends throughout the years. He will be missed by all. His charming ways and smiling face, Are a pleasure to recall And died beloved by all. George's funeral service will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 400 Holiday Inn Dr., Cambridge on Wednesday June 19, 2013 at 1pm. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service from 11am -12: 45pm. Rev. Jonathan Stairs officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Temple Baptist Church, or the Lisaard House would be appreciated by the family.
