- Ronald - Passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 surrounded by his family, at Freeport Health Center of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Ron was born 68 years ago in Kitchener and was the son of the late David and Viola (Yantz) Strickler. Ron worked for Canada Post in Kitchener for many years. Beloved husband of Marlene (Gale) Strickler, whom he married July 20, 1968. Dear father of Rick and wife Krystina Strickler of Keswick, Todd and wife Christine Strickler of Waterloo, Tammy and husband Todd Reaker and Russell and wife Kelly Strickler, all of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, James, Bradley, Miranda, Robyn, Rachel, Cory, Becky and Kyle. Also remembered by his brothers, Bob and wife Connie Strickler of Waterloo and Danny and wife Dianne Strickler of Maryhill and several nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by one granddaughter, Taylor; a brother, Earl in infancy; sister, Doris and husband Nick Bienstroth and a nephew, Brett. To honour Ron's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation is to take place. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre. Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg 519-662-1661 assisted with the arrangements. A special thank you to Dr. Williamson and the staff at the Union Terrace, West Wing on the 3rd floor of Freeport, for your wonderful care of Ron.
