    • Alvin Frey, 85 years, of Mitchell, Manitoba, formerly of Landmark, MB, passed away on April 18, 2013, at 12: 15 A.M. at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach.

      Funeral services will be held at Landmark Christian Fellowship, 172 Main Street, Landmark, on April 22, 2013 at 1: 00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Prairie Rose Cemetery in Landmark. A devotional time and viewing will be held at 4: 00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the Landmark Christian Fellowship. The leadership of Landmark Christian Fellowship will conduct the memorial service and the viewing.

      Alvin was born in Waterloo County, Ontario, on October 12, 1927. Alvin is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lydian (Martin) Frey. Son Paul and Rhoda (Hartzler) Frey, their children Mark and Leticia (Santiago) Frey; Irvin and Marcia (Frey) Krause; and Michelle Frey and their grandchildren Ava, Maria and Owen Krause. Son Larry and LaVonne (Shenk) Frey, their children Philip and Jennifer (Frey) Wiebe; and Justin and Cathy (Klassen) Frey; and grandchildren Emma, Sara and Simon Wiebe; and Avery, Carson and Neela Frey. Son Steven and Theresa (Fehr) Frey, (Carol Barclay) and Steve's children James and Jessica (Gerbrandt) Frey; Diana (Frey) and Nathan Stahl; Laura (Frey) and Dustin Reimer and grandchildren Ariel and Jude Frey; Theodore and William Reimer; and Josephine Stahl; as well as Theresa's children Jarrod, Beth and Aaron and Beth's son Rowan Fehr. Daughter Ruthann (Frey) and Bill Harley, their children Tanya (Hoogendoorn) and Carlon Yoder, Ashley Snyder, Christopher Snyder, Cesar and Melissa (Harley) Gonzalez; and grandchildren Clara, Avner and Cosette Yoder and Keilan Gonzalez. And son Calvin.

      Alvin is also survived by a brother Leonard and his wife Mildred Frey and by a sister Marie and her husband Donald all of southern Ontario; as well as nieces and nephews and other extended family in southern Ontario and in the Steinbach area of Manitoba. He was predeceased by his brother Earl Frey of Steinbach, Manitoba.
