  Mrs. Lydia Leis Wellesley, Sept. 18 - Mrs. Lydia Leis, 55 widow of Moses B. Leis, died at her home here yesterday after a year's illness. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joel Kropf, she was born at Wellesley on Dec. 22, 1894. Mrs. Leis was a member of Maple View Amish-Mennonite Church. Her husband predeceased her in 1927. Surviving are two sons, Melvin and Moses, Wellesley; two brothers, John Kropf, Strathroy and David Kropf, Kitchener; three sisters, Mrs. Christian Litweiler, New Hamburg; Mattie and Annie, Wellesley; and four grandchildren. The body is resting at the residence where a private service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. A public funeral will beheld inn Maple View Church at 3p.m. Bishopp Samuel Schultz and Rev. Moses Roth will officiate. Internment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church. Kitchener-Waterloo Record, September 18, 1950
