| Notes |
- Mrs. Charles Lehmann
Mrs. Anna Maria Lehmann, widow of Charles Lehmann, pioneer businessman of Oconomowoc, passed away on Sunday morning, Dec. 19, at her home on South Main street. Though Mrs. Lehmann had not been in the best of health the past few weeks, the end was unlooked for at this time, and came suddenly and without pain or suffering, bringing to a close a long and beautiful life.
Mrs. Lehmann, whose maiden name was Miss Anna Maria Hasenpflug, was born in Germany in 1837, and came to Canada in 1854 where her marriage to Charles Lehmann occurred five years later. In 1882 Mr. and Mrs. Lehmann and family came to Oconomowoc, where they opened a bakery being engaged in that business for a number of years and later enlarged the business into a delicatessen store. Some time later after retiring from this he purchased a large property on Silver Lake street where he operated an extensive hennery. Mr. Lehmann's death occurred in 1904.
Mrs. Lehmann was respected and beloved throughout the community.
