    • Mrs. Ida Schmidt, 104, Dies At Rocky Knoll

      Mrs. Ida Schmidt, 104, formerly of 712 Kentucky Ave., a resident of Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility for the past six years, died there Tuesday.

      The former Ida Schmagelski was born in Breslaw, [Breslau] Ontario, Canada, on June 12, 1877, a daughter of Fred and Anna Schmagelski.

      Believed to be the county's oldest resident, Mrs. Schmidt was born when Rutherford B. Hayes was president and Queen Victoria was on the throne of England.

      When she was 13, she came to Sheboygan with her family. On May 5, 1894, she married William Schmidt in Sheboygan. Mr. Schmidt died in October, 1946.

      Mrs. Schmidt was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ.

      Surviving are grand-children; great-grandchildren and great-great-grand-children.

      Preceding in death were one son and one daughter.

      The funeral will be Thurs-day at 1:30 p.m. at Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home, the Rev. Charles Koch, pastor of St. Paul United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

      Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:30 p.m. today until the time of service Thursday.

      A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Schmidt's name.
