    • Rev. Emil Burn Dies At Milverton Home

      MILVERTON, Dec. 1. (CP)- Death of Rev. Emil Burn, here to-day terminated a ministry of more than 50 years. He retired in 1938 after serving Evangelical churches in Milverton, Zurich, Elmwood, Hanover, New Hamburg, Port Elgin, Sebringville, Tavistock, Crediton, Waterloo, and Arnprior Milverton is 19 miles north of Stratford.

      Capacity Congregations At Milverton Honor Rev. Emil Burn

      MILVERTON, May 9. Rev. Emil Burn. pastor of the Evangelical church at Milverton for the past six years, who has recently been transferred to the Zurich appointment, preached his farewell sermons yesterday, when the church was filled to capacity at both services. Special music was offered by the choir and a Mother's Day service was observed in the morning. The church was tastefully arranged with spring flowers for the occasion. Evening services in the various churches of the village were withdrawn out of compliment to Mr. Burn.

      Sincere regret was expressed throughout the community when it was learned that Mr. Burn had been moved to a new appointment. During his sojourn here he has made many friends.

      Mr. Burn was born at La Chaux De Fonds. Neuchatel, Switzerland. and came to Canada about 55 years ago with his parents, settling in Parry Sound district. He received his education at the Evangelical Church University in the State of Illinois. During his 41 years of Christian service he has ministered at various places, including Hanover. his first field: Elmwood, New Hamburg. Sebringville, Tavistock, Crediton, Waterloo, Port Elgin, Arnprior and Milverton. Mr. Burn married Miss Hauch of Kitchener.

      For a number of years Mr. Burn. was presiding elder of the Hanover district and for the past two years has been president of the Milverton Ministerial Association. Rev. J. G. Burn. of Chesley, and Rev. J. Burn. of Lisbon, the latter being recently moved to Pembroke, are brothers
