Notes |
- Mrs. Thomas Snodgrass
The death of Mrs. Thomas Snodgrass, whIch occurred yesterday morning, was a severe shock to her numerous friends and many were not aware of her illness until apprised of her death yesterday. Although in her 70th year, the deceased lady has been in her usual health and a week ago yesterday attended church in Galt, having walked the entire distance. During the early part of the week, she was taken suddenly ill and the developments that followed were alarming. Her medical attendant was summoned and pronounced her suffering from appendicitis. Everything possible which kind friends and medical aid could render was done, but they were unable to cope with the disease. With a last hope of recovery, she consented to an operation being performed, but this was of no avail and she passed to her long home yesterday. Mrs. Snodgrass was universally known and esteemed in Hespeler and vicinity, having resided here for some time. She was a devoted Christian and was a regular attendant at the U. P. Church, Galt. She leaves a large family and a loving husband to mourn her demise. The funeral will take place tomorrow.
