- Isaac Wismer, "son of Abraham and Veronica (Myers) Wismer, and grandson of Henry and Barbara (Lederach) Wismer, and a great-grandson of old Jacob Wismer, was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, May 21st, 1782, and died in Lincoln County, Ontario, June 18th, 1842. He was married to Anna High (Hoch) and after her death to Anna Martin. His family consisted of thirteen children, and their descendants are to be found in Lincoln, Welland and other counties of Ontario."
