- DORIS HUSSEY, DONALD CRESS WED AT ROSEVILLE CHURCH
The Rev, C. R. Knuth united in marriage Doris M. Hussey, daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hussey, Roseville, to Donald C. Cress of Blair, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Cress, at the Evangelical Brethren United church, at Roseville, Satur-day afternoon. The ceremony was performed against a background of dahlias, ferns and gladioli. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was gowned in a white satin floor-length dress with a lace yoke, and a seed pearl finger-tip veil with matching headdress. She carried a bouquet of American Beauty roses and white chrysanthe-mums. Mrs. Vardon Hussey, the matron of honor, wore pink figured taffeta with a matching tulle fin-gertip veil and she carried a bou-quet of pink tea roses. The brother of the bridegroom, Philip J. Cress, was the best man and the ushers were George Cress, brother of the bridegroom, and Marshall Furlong. Vardon Hussey, brother of the bride, was soloist and sang "I Love You Truly," accom-panied by Miss Bernice Baer of New Dundee.. Pink and white decorations made an attractive setting for the recep-tion at the home of the bride's par-ents at Roseville. The bride's mother was gowned in powder blue crepe trimmed with lace. The bride-groom's mother received in a dress of powder blue petit point. The bride's table was decorated with pink and white snapdragons and centred with a three-tiered wedding cake. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a pearl necklace, and the attendants received suitable gifts. For the wedding trip to Buffalo, N.Y., the bride wore a navy dress with a grey coat and navy acces-sories. Mr. and Mrs. Cress will make their home at R.R. 1, Blair.
