    • MRS. ELIZABETH JOHANNES

      Mrs. Elizabeth (Trussler) Johannes, whose husband Fred Johannes died 27 years ago, passed away last night (Tuesday) at ten minutes to twelve o'clock at the home of her mother, Mrs. Hannah Trussler, 61 Scott street, this city

      She was the eldest child of Thomas Trussler (deceased) and Hannah Trussler, who survives ner at the age of 81 years. She has lived with her mother since the death of her husband 27 years ago and was at the time of death aged 60 years and four months.

      Mrs. Johannes had been in poor health for years, but was always able to be about and do some of her work. A week ago she suffered a paralytic stroke, and was unconscious for most of the time. During short periods of consciousness she tried to converse with members of her family but she could not make herself understood owing to the tongue and lips being paralyzed. She passed away very quietly.

      In life she was always very active according to her strength and opportunities and would give helping hand wherever she could. She was of a kind and quiet disposition. Mrs. Johanaes was the mother of two children. Lydia Ann Tow Mrs. Tapping, and a son, Alvia, who died two years ago.

      Besides her daughter, Lydia Ann Tapping and the grandson, Roy Tapping, those who survive her are her aged mother, Mrs. Hannah Trussler; Mrs. Joseph Woods of Winterbourne, Mrs. Lydia Martin and Mrs. Nelson Thoman of this city. the three being her sisters, and a brother. A,, Trussler of Carnation Alberta The funeral will be private owing to the fact that the aged mother is too feeble to leave her house. It will be held on Friday at 2.30 o clerk at the residence with interment in Mount Hope cemetery.
