  GENTLE, Derek W. Suddenly, as the result of heart failure, at his residence, 1135 Queen's Blvd., Kitchener, on Monday, May 9, 1988, age 66 years. Mr. Gentle was retired from Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, where he had worked for 26 years, and attended Highland Baptist Church. Beloved husband of the former Ruth Bechtel; dear father of Greg of RR 2, Petersburg and Heather of Kitchener. He is also survived by his sister, Audrey McAllister and her husband Robert of England. Predeceased by his parents, Florence and William Gentle; two children in infancy, Wade and Valerie and one sister, Madeline. Mr. Gentle's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, from 7-9 p.m. this evening and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m on Wednesday. At noon on Thursday, transfer will be made to Highland Baptist Church for the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Frank Morgan officiating. Interment to follow in Memory Gardens, Breslau.
