    • JOSEPH ABRA was born in Dumfries Township, near Roseville, in 1849, where he was brought up. He moved on the farm he at present owns and occupies in 1874. He was tax collector for the township from 1900 to 1905, and first elected to the council of the township in 1906, being elected by acclamation.
