    • Violet Pitts passed away peacefully at the High River Hospital on March 4th after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Waterloo, Ontario, the second youngest of 10 children. After she married Gerald Pitts they moved to Alberta with their 2 young daughters and in 1952 came to the High River area. She later went to work for the Royal Bank until she retired after 26 years. Her love of travel took her all over the world and Canada. Because of the love of the outdoor, especially flowers and wildlife, she became an avid photographer. She was also an active member of the Lutheran Church.

      She was predeceased by her husband Gerald, daughter Carol and 2 granddaughters. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn (Glen), 5 grandsons Brian (Joanne), Robert (Kimberley), Timothy, David (Rena), Terry, also 5 great grandchildren Markie, Samantha, Ben, Max, & Calvin.
