  David Shuh, "was born March 11th, 1851. On January 8th, 1878, he was married to Barbara, daughter of Rev. Moses and Anna (Cressman) Bowman. She was born March 1st, 1857. On March 18th, 1878, they moved to the township of Wallace where they followed farming until February 14th, 1889, when they moved home on his father's farm, known as the old "David Shantz" or "Shuh" farm. Here they are still residing. Their family consists of six children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
