- CHARLES E. BRYANT
PRESTON, Feb. 5. Preston resident for the past 68 years, Charles Edward Bryant died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, early Sunday morning, at the age of 79 years. He had been sick for the past six weeks and was removed to hospital last Friday morning. Born at LinkfieId, Surrey, England, Mr. Bryant lived in Doon, for four years before coming to Preston. He was employed at the Pattinson Woollen Mill, for 53 years, until the time of his illness six weeks ago. A Christadelphian by faith, he had been a member of Preston I.O.O..F. Cambridge Lodge for 43 years. Surviving are his wife, Ella Grishow; a son, Ordinary Seaman George Bryant, St. Hyacinthe; three sisters, Mrs. Everett Hartshorn, Oscoda, Mich., Mrs. George Sanderrock, Windsor, Mrs. Albert Pick, Limerick, three brothers, George, Worcester, Mass., Fred of Stratford and William of Cleveland. Two sisters, Mrs. William Krueger of Hespeler, in 1940 and Ellen in infancy and a brother, James in the Klondike, in 1900, predeceased him. The remains are resting at the residence 22 Laura St., where private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, at 2: 30 p m. Interment will be in Blair Cemetery.
