  HABERMEHL, Allan Roy Passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Grand River Hospital, at the age of 63. Dearly beloved husband of Carmen (nee Keller) Habermehl for 36 years. Loving father of Scott (Maureen), Chad (Michelle), Amanda (Adam) and proud Grandpa to Rio. Dear brother of Ted (Sheila) and Robin (Rita), brother-in-law Ron Bain. Pre-deceased by his parents Roy and Doris (nee Hart) Habermehl and his sister Diane Bain. Big Al was a loving family man, devoted to his wife, children and granddaughter who meant the world to him. This same dedication was evident in his 39 years of employment as a manager at Sears where he was known for his optimism and his "whistle while you work" attitude. Allan's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 10: 30 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012 followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
