Notes |
- Henry Zimmermann, a respected citizen of Waterloo, died Thursday morning at 2: 00 o'clock, after a long illness. He was born July 14, 1837 in Spechbach, Baden, Germany and came to this area in 1845 and settled near Bamberg. He carried on the carriage trade there and opened a business. In 1882 he acquired the Baumann house in Waterloo and in 1890, constructed the Zimmermann house on the same spot. He gained general respect through his pleasantness and honesty. He is survived by a sorrowing widow, a son and 10 daughters, of whom five are married. The burial took place on Saturday afternoon with a large attendance.
