- ANTONISON, William (Turk) - Peacefully, on Friday, May 8, 2009, at Lisaard House, surrounded by his loving family, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Rose (nee Balahura) of 59 years and loving father of David Antonison of Cambridge. Survived by one sister, Anne Krywy of Cambridge. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Catherine Antonyscyn, and sisters, Mary Kolopack, Rose Mannone, Hilda Antonison, Stella Martyn and brother, Nicholas Antonison. Longtime employee of Preston Furniture of 45 years. Veteran of the Second World War, RCA - L/BDR 7th Medium Regiment. Served overseas throughout Europe from 1941 - 1945 and 65-year member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 126 (Preston). At Turk's request, cremation has taken place with no visitation or service. A special thank you to all the staff at Lisaard House for their care and compassion. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Lisaard House, 950 Speedsville Rd., Cambridge, N3H 4R6 would be appreciated by the family.
