  BRICKELL, JOHN The funeral of Mr. Brickell took place on Thursday, Jul. 6, from his residence on Adam St. in Hespeler to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, where Father Lenhard conducted requiem mass and from thence, to the Hespeler Roman Catholic Cemetery for interment. He died at Hespeler on Tuesday, July 4, 1905. He had been ailing for some time past and though his condition at times seemed serious, yet death was not anticipated. He was born in Waterloo Township. When he was 3 years old his father, the late Frederick Brickell, removed to Puslinch. John Brickell resided there until his marriage three years ago. He was a great favourite among all who knew him. His funeral was largely attended. He leaves his wife, Violet Eaton and two small children, a daughter, two years old and a baby girl, a few days old. His mother still resides in Puslinch and four brothers and one sister are left. They are Joseph and Adam of Puslinch; Philip of Guelph; Henry of Carberry, Manitoba; and Miss Mary, at home. His body was carried to the grave by six old schoolmates: Michael P. Lynch, William Moran, Thomas Hutchinson, Thomas Moran, Alex Neubauer and James Murphy. -Information from the death certificate: Died at age 35 years, after 2 years with tuberculosis. -John and Violet Brickell's two children were Violet Thelma (b. Dec. 26, 1903) and Elvra Alberta (b. July 3, 1905). Violet Eaton remarried to F. C. Mosher and lived in Grand Rapids, Ml.
