BROOKE, DANIEL E. was born in Chatham in 1856, the son of John E. Brooke. He was a graduate of Trinity Medical College in 1879, and he at once commenced practice in New Hamburg. After some ten years he decided to move to Windsor, which decision produced expressions of regret in the local papers He was presented with a gold headed cane at a complimentary dinner and a token of regard.
In Windsor he soon built up a large practice, but after some six years he died suddenly on December 28, 1895 in his fortieth year. He was survived by his father, one brother and three sisters.
