    • Mrs. Emma Werner

      Mrs. Emma Werner, mother of Methodist Bishop Hazen G. Werner, at the Ohio area, died on Sunday night at the age of 89 years. Born in New Hamburg, she was the daughter of a Methodist minister, Rev. Hy. Groff. She also has a grandson who is a Methodist minister. He is the Rev. James Bristah, pastor of the Methodist Church at Warren, Mich.

      She was the widow of Samuel E. Werner, a Detroit real estate dealer, who died in 1932. She is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bert Clark of Detroit, at whose home she died.

      Funeral services were held Wednesday and burial was in Roselawn Park cemetery, Berkley, Mich.
