- Mrs. Samuel Merner
The funeral of Mrs. Samuel Merner took place Tuesday afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Baird, Crediton, and interment was made in the Grand Bend Cemetery. The deceased, formerly Theresa Eckenswilier, was born in New Hamburg, but had resided in Alisa Craig, Alvinston, Grand Bend and Crediton. She is survived by her husband, her daughters, Mrs. Davidson, Port Huron; Mm Lewis Peifer, Chatham; Mrs. D. Baird, and Mrs. David Sturgeon, Crediton, and Mrs. Edward Sturgeon, Bayfield; her son, Samuel, of Buffalo; four brothers, Joseph and Frank Eckenswiller, Waterloo; Jacob and Peter, Toronto, and a sister, Mrs. Geo. Bruder, of Woodstock. The pallbearers were Frank and Walter Stratton, J. English, William Holt, Joseph Oliver and Joseph Ravelle. Rev. Mr. Johnson was officiating clergyman.
